A real-time orders-ready display for peak service

A high-volume quick-service restaurant, Queenstown

At peak, order collection was chaos. We built a real-time display system to bring order to the rush.

The challenge

One of the busiest food businesses in town needed a way to manage order collection at peak. Crowding and confusion at the counter were slowing everything down, and staff had no clear view of what was ready and what was still cooking.

What we did

We built a real-time orders-ready display — screens front-of-house and a mobile view for staff — backed by a resilient real-time service. It includes role-based staff management, rush-hour reporting, and automated daily email reports. When the original hosting had an outage mid-project, we migrated the backend to keep it dependable under load.

The result

Collection at peak is calmer and faster, congestion at the counter is down, and the team finally has data on their busiest periods. The display stays live and reliable when it matters most — during the rush.
